KNOW THE TRICKS TO CLEAN KID’S LUNCH BOX TO GET RID OF STAINS AND SMELL

In the morning, when we pack the lunch for our kids, we provide them the neatly packed lunch box. However, in the evenings from the stinky smell to the stained bag, the picture gets reverse completely. We always ensure to keep them clean as much as possible, but the tough odor which comes from the remaining of the lunch waits for us with all the challenges.

Most of the time, the packed food leak or spills and makes the scenario more messy to clean. As we always want to take the best possible hygienic step for our kids, we don’t like to pack their foods in those smelly boxes. On the other hand, buying a new lunch box every month is not a feasible idea either.

Here are the things you need to clean your lunch box:

  •   Soft dishwasher with the higher cleaning capacity
  •   Sponge
  •   Water (both normal and lukewarm)
  •   Towel

Cleaning Process: Before starting the cleaning process, scarp the box well to clean all the remaining foods. First of all, wash the box thoroughly with water to remove all grime.  To clean the lunch box in the most effective way, take a bowl of lukewarm water. Now add two to three drops of concentrated dishwashing gel-like Sparkle. Mix the soap well in the water and soak the lunch box for 1 hour. It will help to remove the oils of the container. Now take the sponge and add another two drops of the gel in it. Now gently scrub inside out to get rid of all the smells. For best result, you can add a few drops of fresh lemon juice with the gel. The lemon will help to eradicate the smell and make the container sparkling clean. Now wash thoroughly with running water.

If you still have the stains then take a bowl of clean water and add a ½ spoon of white vinegar in it. Now soak the box overnight and then the next morning, wash it with dish wash gel and water. Vinegar is a great remedy for tough turmeric and tomato sauce stains. If you don’t have vinegar at home, then you can do the process with lemon also. You can rub the lemon juice to the entire box and leave it for 30 minutes before starting the normal washing process.

In case, the bad smell still persists on the container, then make a soft paste of warm water and baking soda. Now apply it on the lunch box, especially the stained part. Now you have to keep it for a day and after 24 hours wash thoroughly with lukewarm water.

The best way to remove stains is by keeping the box under the direct sun for hours after cleaning it properly. The sunray will take away all the stains naturally.

Things You Should Keep In Mind To Have A Sparkling Clean Lunch Box:

  •   Always select a non-leaky container for lunch to avoid the spill.
  •   Teach the kids to wash the container after the use.
  •   After reaching the home, they need to empty the box first.
  •   Open dry the box for best result.
